Fangchenggang Phase II Nuclear Grade Diaphragm Valve Prototype Passed Expert Design Review
On August 26, 2017, Shanghai No. 5 Valve Factory Co., Ltd. and China General Nuclear Engineering Co., Ltd. jointly organized the "Fangchenggang Nuclear Power Phase II Unit 3 and 4 Diaphragm Valve Prototype Design Scheme and Prototype Appraisal Test Outline Review Meeting" in Shanghai ".
The review committee is composed of well-known experts in the industry, including Huang Bingchen and Chu Qibao from the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Wang Xiaojiang of China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd., Le Xiuhui of Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute, Pu Xiaofen of China Nuclear Power Research and Design Institute, Song Yinli of Valve Branch of China General Machinery Industry Association, and Fan Haiping of Zhongyuan Foreign Engineering Co., Ltd. Experts and representatives at the meeting listened to the prototype design input requirements made by CGN Engineering Co., Ltd., the prototype design scheme and firm test outline instructions made by Shanghai Valve No.5 Factory Co., Ltd., reviewed relevant materials, inspected the newly-built nuclear power workshop, and formed evaluation opinions after questioning, defense and discussion. The experts at the meeting unanimously agreed to pass the design evaluation.
Guangxi Fangchenggang Nuclear Power Phase II Units 3 and 4 adopt my country's independent intellectual property third-generation nuclear power technology-Hualong No. 1. Unit 3 officially started construction on December 24, 2015. As the main brand of China's nuclear power going out, Hualong No.1 is the bridgehead for China's nuclear power to open up the international market. The new Bradwell B nuclear power project in the United Kingdom led by China General Nuclear Power adopts this nuclear power technology, and uses Fangchenggang Phase II as a reference nuclear power plant. It will become a window to show the world China's third-generation nuclear power technology, and thus drive my country's equipment manufacturing industry. Upgrade and achieve the strategic goal of domestic advanced nuclear power technology going global.
On December 22, 2016, Shanghai Valve Factory Co., Ltd. signed a contract with CGN for the supply of all diaphragm valves for the Fangchenggang nuclear power project, with a quantity of more than 3000 units. The project puts forward new requirements for the design structure of nuclear-grade diaphragm valves different from those in the past. The company organized an engineering design team headed by General Manager Su Shiping and Deputy General Manager Yu Jinlong of Technology to carry out design, analysis and verification. With the support and cooperation of CGN Design Institute, the design of the prototype and all products was completed. The design certification, a clear design direction, steps and methods, the next step will enter the prototype trial identification and product manufacturing stage, Shanghai Valve Plant Co., Ltd. will, as always, according to the requirements of nuclear power, carefully prepared, carefully manufactured, for the localization of nuclear power projects to make new contributions.
