Hualong No.1 nuclear grade diaphragm valve prototype successfully passed the appraisal

On December 15, 2018, the "Hualong No.1" nuclear-grade electric diaphragm valve prototype appraisal meeting was held in Shanghai No.5 Valve Factory Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as No.5 Valve Factory), and the prototype passed the appraisal smoothly. This has laid a solid foundation for the delivery of the electric diaphragm valve of Hualong No.1 demonstration project as soon as possible.

The electric diaphragm valve is jointly developed by the engineering company and the fifth plant on the valve. It has independent intellectual property rights, and its main technical indicators are leading domestically and internationally. It has many innovations such as extended service life, improved seismic performance, and strong circulation capacity, and can be promoted. Apply to other nuclear power projects.

In the appraisal meeting, CGNPC introduced the design input of the electric diaphragm valve prototype of Hualong No.1 demonstration project, and the 5th factory of the upper valve reported the manufacturing process and appraisal test of the prototype. After consulting relevant documents, inspecting the production site, questioning, answering questions and discussing, the expert group unanimously agreed that the product prototype passed the appraisal.

The appraisal meeting was presided over by Dai Zhimin, vice chairman of Shanghai Nuclear Society, and Le Xiuhui of Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute served as the expert group leader of the appraisal meeting. Six experts from the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, China General Machinery Industry Association, China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd., China Nuclear Power Research and Design Institute and Zhongyuan Foreign Engineering Co., Ltd. formed the expert group of the appraisal meeting. Zhu Junmin of Shanghai Nuclear Power Office, Su Yahua and Su Shiping of Shangvalve No.5 Plant, Fan Shubin and Kong Lingjie of Equipment Procurement and Complete Equipment Center also participated in the review meeting.
